I've decided what I'll do is purchase a microsoft bluetooth headset on Amazon then set it up and allow it to fail the same way as my plantronics. Then I'll call Microsoft for support of the headset, get the windows problem sorted (hopefully), then return the microsoft headset for a refund. I can't see how else to get Microsoft interested in helping with a solution.
